Healthy Banana Bread
Since April I have been trying not to eat any processed sugar. Ive had to get creative trying to figure out alternatives for some of the foods that I love to eat.
Banana bread was on that list. I have a recipe that I love and have made forever; it’s my mom’s. Unfortunately, it calls for 1 cup of sugar. I’ve tried lots of different substitutions but then it doesn’t taste like my mom’s anymore.
I started looking through recipes online and came across this amazing one by Cookie & Kate that was literally called Healthy Banana Bread. So, of course, I had to give it a try. It calls for maple syrup as a sweetener and had a gluten free and vegan option. It was absolutely amazing! It was so good that you don’t miss the sweetness at all. My family gobbled it up in 2 days and have been asking me to make it ever since. (I’m baking some as I type this ;))
