Protein Packed Berry Smoothie

My current favorite smoothie. There are so many amazing smoothie recipes out there. When I find one I really like I run with it.


I like to keep my smoothie recipes fairly simple so the ingredient list doesn’t get too crazy. This one has almond milk, almond butter, vegan protein powder, blueberries, cherries, flax seeds, and hemp seeds. I like to top it off with some of my homemade granola. 🏻


Berries are high in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and help fight inflammation. Hemp and flax seeds are rich in healthy fats and essential fatty acids. They are also a great protein source and are loaded with vitamins and minerals. So, not only is this smoothie delicious, it is good for you and will help you stay full.

Ingredients

10 oz unsweetened almond milk (or any plant milk of your choice)

1 tbsp cashew almond butter (for my recipe click here)

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tbsp flax seeds

1 scoop vegan protein powder (I like vegemeal)

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup frozen cherries

Optional Toppings

1/4 cup granola

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.

  • Blend until smooth.

  • Pour into your favorite glass, add any toppings you like, and enjoy!
