Smoothie Bowl

The warmer weather in Atlanta has me craving smoothies again. I usually just drink my smoothie but I had just made granola and wanted to add it to something. Plus, I have been seeing all these amazing smoothie bowls lately and wanted to try my hand at one.


Boy was I missing out! I wish I had tried one of these bowls a long time ago. I only added homemade granola and banana to this bowl. However, my mind has been racing with all the delicious topping options there are.

Ingredients

*This recipe makes 2 smoothie bowls

1 1/4 cup frozen blueberries

1 1/4 cup frozen mango

2 tbsp hemp seeds

2 tbsp chia seeds

1 scoop vegan protein powder (I like VegeMeal chocolate pea protein)

Almond milk

  • Combine the frozen fruit, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and protein powder in a blender of food processor.

  • Blend on low speed and gradually add almond milk until desired consistency is reached. (We like ours thick, I probably added about 1/2 cup of almond milk at the most.)

  • Pour into two bowls and add toppings.

  • Enjoy immediately.
