How Do You Spell Love?

I've had a few things remind me lately of how precious time is. My favorite (and only) kid turned 13 on Saturday. I took a long walk down memory lane looking through pictures of her from the time she was small up until now.

Where did the time go?

If feels like just yesterday I had to hold her while she climbed on the jungle gym, or ride down the slide with her, or that I was teaching her how to swim, or ride a bike.

Now, she's a confident, compassionate, strong, and sassy 13 year old.

Time is a funny thing. Sometimes it feels like it's moving so slow you can barely stand it, but then you blink and realize that 5, 10, or even 15 years have passed.

There is no time to waste in life.

We spend so much of our time worrying about what other people will think, or how our actions will affect them. It holds us back from doing what we really want to do in life.

Dr Edith Eger says that she spells love, T I M E. While this can mean spending time with people we love and care about; it can also mean loving yourself enough to think of your time as precious and sacred. To stop doing what we think we should do and start doing what we want to do.

This is your reminder today that whatever you have been thinking about doing; go do it. Whether that is starting a new job, going back to school, taking an adventure, starting a business, learning a new skill, starting an exercise program, eating healthier, or learning how to manage your stress, stop putting it off.

It doesn’t matter how you start, it just matters that you start. That can even mean just starting to consider what you want to do. If you need help getting started or need support and accountability once you start, just hit the button below and let me know how I can help!
