Tumeric Latte

My favorite afternoon drink these days is a tumeric latte. This drink is not only tasty but it is also amazing for you. I use almond or oat milk and then add in tumeric, cinnamon and maple syrup. A friend suggested I add ginger and black pepper and both were a great addition. Here are the healing benefits and I will include the recipe at the bottom.

Tumeric, cinnamon and ginger are all high in antioxidants which can help you fight off disease and infections. They can also help you lower the levels of inflammation in your body, improve digestion, have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, improve your mood, improve brain function, prevent heart disease, reduce the risk of cancer and improve bone health.

The next question to ask yourself is why wouldn’t you drink this?!? Head to your kitchen and make yourself a cup right now!

+ 1 cup almond milk (you can use any milk of your choice)

+ 1 tsp tumeric

+ 1/2 tsp cinnamon

+ 1/2 tsp ginger powder (use fresh if you have it…about 1 tbsp)

+ pinch of black pepper

+ 1 tbsp maple syrup


Heat on low for about 10 minutes until spices are fragrant. Strain and serve!
